As
Senior Demand Planner
at Knauf Egypt, you will be responsible for developing accurate and unbiased demand forecast leveraging historical data, market intelligence and commercial inputs in addition to owning S&OP process execution. The role ensures a robust demand plan that drives effective supply planning, improves service levels, and minimizes inventory risks.
What You’ll Be Doing

Develop and maintain rolling forecasts (typically 3–18 months horizon).

Incorporate sales trends, seasonality, and market dynamics.

Adjust forecasts based on market intelligence such as discounts, tenders, and large project pipelines.

Analyze competitor activity and pricing impacts where relevant.

Translate market insights into actionable demand adjustments, and provide early visibility on demand spikes or risks.

Collaborate closely with Sales, Key Account teams, as well as marketing.

Capture insights on project pipelines, dealers orders, and market shifts.

Challenge and validate sales inputs to ensure realistic, data-driven forecasts.

Lead the Demand Review cycle within the S&OP process.

Consolidate and present demand assumptions, risks, and opportunities.

Ensure alignment between demand, supply, and financial plans.

Track forecast accuracy (MAPE, WMAPE) and Bias at SKU and aggregate levels.

Support inventory optimization by improving forecast reliability.

Perform root cause analysis for forecast errors.

Continuously improve forecasting models and processes.

Maintain forecast data in Blue Yonder System, while ensuring master data integrity (product hierarchy, segmentation).

Leverage analytical tools (Excel/Power BI/Tableau) for reporting and insights.

Work with supply planners to understand constraints and adjust demand where needed.
What We’d Love For You To Have

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Economics, or Engineering.

3-5 years experience in demand planning, forecasting, or analytics (preferably in building materials, or FMCG).

Strong understanding of forecasting techniques and demand planning processes.

Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP and Blue Yonder).

Experience with Excel , Power BI/Tableau.
-
Influencing and stakeholder management skills (especially with Sales teams).
-
Attention to detail and data accuracy.
-
Strong communication skills and storytelling with data.
