About the Indiana Office of Utility Consumer Counselor (OUCC):
The OUCC’s mission is to represent all Indiana consumers to ensure quality, reliable utility services at the most reasonable prices possible through dedicated advocacy, consumer education, and creative problem-solving.
Role Overview:
This position provides competent legal representation on behalf of the ratepaying public primarily before the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (“IURC”) and occasionally other regulatory bodies, as well as state and federal courts. Duties are performed with little or no supervision and position requires self-motivation, discipline, and initiative. Reports directly to Chief Deputy Consumer Counselor.
Salary Statement:
This is a senior-level position with a starting salary of $88,661.00; however, an underfill of this position is considered for those candidates who do not have the requisite utility regulation experience to train and mentor less experienced attorneys with a starting salary of $83,037.00.
