Position Overview

The Senior Designer is a high-energy, positive-minded professional with experience in luxury residential interior design and must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, client service driven environment on multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with clients and firm President to create and execute a comprehensive interior design vision for each project
• Develop project-specific interior architectural designs and interior design concepts for ceilings, millwork, tile layout, flooring patterns, in collaboration with interior detailer
• Make background selections for projects
• Make furniture selections for projects
• Maintain/organize project files, schedules, and specifications
• Manage project timelines and meet specific deadlines for multiple projects, simultaneously
• Manage and mentor a dedicated design assistant
• Conduct site visits when necessary and assist in construction supervision

Qualifications and Skills

• Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, a related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years residential interior design experience (luxury residential projects preferred, but not required), as dedicated designer on projects
• Understand shop drawings from cabinet and millwork companies
• Understand architectural drawings
• Working knowledge of construction techniques and related coordinating details and dimensions
• Follow budget standards and properly track and manage time
• Adhere to company standards and be open to learning and receiving feedback
• Dynamic presentation and public speaking skills
• Thrive in a fast-paced team environment where forward-thinking and communication is key
• High attention to detail
• Strong work ethic
