Senior Designer & BOM ENGINEER

This is a full-time on-site role for the POSITION “Sr. Bids , Proposal & AutoCAD Design ” located in Rajahmundry. The Sr. Bids and Proposal Engineer will be responsible for preparing and writing proposals, ensuring alignment with client requirements. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with sales and procurement teams to gather necessary data and insights, reviewing technical specifications, and ensuring all proposals comply with industry standards. The role also involves interfacing with electrical engineering teams to ensure technical accuracy and feasibility of the proposals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Bid and Proposal Development:

Lead the development of bids and proposals for electrical panels and systems projects.

Ensure that bids and proposals are technically accurate, commercially competitive, and compliant with customer requirements.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and operations.

2. Design and Estimation:

Develop detailed designs of SLD , HT LT PANELSand estimates for electrical panels and systems projects.

Ensure that designs and estimates are accurate, complete, and compliant with customer requirements.

3. Technical Expertise:

Provide technical expertise and guidance on electrical panels and systems projects.

Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in electrical panel manufacturing technology.

4. Commercial and Contractual:

Ensure that bids and proposals are commercially competitive and compliant with contractual requirements.

Collaborate with the sales team to develop pricing strategies and negotiate contracts.

5. Project Risk Management:

Identify and mitigate risks associated with electrical panels and systems projects.

Develop risk management plans and strategies to minimize project risks.

6. Customer Relationship:

Build and maintain relationships with customers, including pre-bid meetings and site visits.

Ensure that customer requirements are understood and addressed in bids and proposals.

Sound Knowledge and experience in Proposal Preparation and Proposal Writing

Background in Electrical Engineering

Experience in Sales processes

Knowledge of Procurement practices

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Requirements:

B. Tech /M. Tech in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical panel manufacturing, with at least 5 years in bid and proposal development.

Strong knowledge of HT, MV, and LV power systems, as well as power electronics systems.

Strong Knowledge in TYPE Tested Panels, IMCC Panels, Electrical Automation systems etc.

Proven track record of developing successful bids and proposals.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with bid management software and tools.

Knowledge of industry standards and regulations, such as IEC and IEEE.

Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and practices.

Experience with project management tools and software.
