Job Summary
We’re looking for a Senior Men’s Designer to own and drive all men’s product development across our in-house brand and private-label programs while supporting broader design and development needs as required. This role is highly hands-on and execution-focused; you’ll be responsible for taking product from concept through production while managing timelines, vendors, and customer relationships.
Core Responsibilities
Men’s Product Development (Brand & Private Label)
- Own men’s design and development from concept through final production
- Design and develop seasonal collections for our brand
- Lead all men’s private-label development programs across multiple customers
- Translate customer briefs into executable designs that meet cost, quality, and margin targets
Design & Technical Execution
- Create original designs, CADs, and line sheets
- Build complete, production-ready tech packs independently
- Specify fabrics, trims, washes, finishes, and construction details
- Partner closely with fit, PD, and production to ensure accuracy and manufacturability
Sample & Timeline Management
- Own sample calendars and development timelines
- Track multiple programs simultaneously without things slipping
- Review samples, lead fittings, and provide clear, actionable comments
- Flag risks early and propose solutions
Vendor & Factory Collaboration
- Communicate directly with domestic and overseas factories
- Lead vendor meetings and development calls
- Ensure designs are executed to spec while balancing cost and feasibility
- Support fabric sourcing and mill development as needed
Customer Collaboration (Private Label)
- Work directly with private-label customers on design development
- Present CADs, revisions, and concepts clearly and professionally
- Incorporate customer feedback while protecting timelines and margins
- Act as a trusted design partner
ERP & Data Management
- Enter and maintain style-level data in our ERP system (styles, colors, fabrics, BOMs, etc.)
- Ensure design and development data is accurate, complete, and production-ready
- Partner with Production and Operations to maintain clean handoffs between design and execution
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Merchandising, Production, Sales, and Operations
- Support costing, margin reviews, and line planning
- Ensure alignment between design intent and business goals
Qualifications
- 7+ years of men’s apparel design experience
- Strong background in denim and/or woven bottoms preferred (knits a plus)
- Proven experience running private-label programs
- Expert-level ability to create tech packs from scratch
- Strong CAD skills (Adobe Illustrator required)
- Deep understanding of garment construction, fit, and materials
- Experience working directly with overseas factories and vendors
- Highly organized, deadline-driven, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable owning projects end-to-end with minimal oversight
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
