SENIOR DESIGNER & PROJECT MANAGER

BASILE Studio is looking for a creative and committed Senior Designer & PM with a passion for custom details, holistic design and thrives in a fast-paced environment. We are a unique DESIGN and BUILD studio that is fully vertical in its integration of a multitude of different craftsmanship capabilities, ranging from hotels, restaurants, multi-family developments, custom homes to products. Our custom fabrication studio creates everything in the shell along with all the interior components that make up the whole that comes out of our design studio. Never have these many facets been integrated into one company to provide one-stop for our clients and our developments. We are seeking Design Project Managers that will bring their UNIQUE skill set. That is highly versatile, capable of switching gears, and producing high quality custom design in a short amount of time. That can balance creativity with the logistical demands of the project.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage design projects of varying sizes and complexity.

  • Oversee schematic design and participate in design development, construction documentation, and project supervision.

  • Develop, produce, and manage detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

  • Provide leadership and direction to interior design team members.

  • Collaborate closely with designers, clients, and construction teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

  • Maintain design quality while balancing technical execution and project management responsibilities.

• OTHER RESPONSIBILIITES

  • Success in this position is dependent on not only being creative but, being extremely pro-active, having strong communication skills, excellent follow-through, being detail-oriented, and most importantly having the desire of joining a team that is fast-moving, adaptive to change, comfortable with implementing processes, and likes to get things done.

  • You will be required to lead a project from beginning to end through all phases of design into final installation of our custom items.

  • Each team member is expected to proactively step in to support your teammates and overall team culture.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture or interior design or related field

  • 5-8+ years of professional experience in architecture, interior design, interior architecture, or project management in related field

  • Experience with hospitality projects.

  • Proficiency in Revit (5+ years of professional use)

  • Proficiency in design, graphics, and project planning software

  • Ability to produce work and manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Effective and clear communications, both verbal and written

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with diplomacy.

  • Comfortable interfacing with clients, consultants, and construction team

  • Ability to learn new skills and technology.

• PREFERRED

  • Licensure not required but preferred depending on position and project.

  • Proficiency in Sketchup

  • Proficiency in CAD, Adobe Suite, Enscape, and Revu preferred

  • Experience with custom details, material specification, and fabrication preferred

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

• We are open to candidates whose experience may align more closely with either Senior Interior Designer, Architectural Designer, Project Manager, or combination of all.

• This is a full-time position.

• This position will be based out of our office located in Downtown San Diego.

• Salary Range based on performance and experience.

• Possible travel will be required for client meetings and/or site visits
