Our team is unique: we undertake projects that involve multiple kinds of signage and collaborate closely with architects, graphic designers, and project managers. Each project spans more than one design discipline, making this a dynamic environment for designers who thrive on variety, problem-solving, and creative challenges.

About the Role We’re looking for a Senior Designer with strong experience in Wayfinding and Environmental Graphic Design to join our growing team. This is a hands-on, on-site role—ideal for a local NYC-based candidate who thrives in a collaborative environment and is comfortable working closely with fabrication and installation teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design projects for wayfinding and environmental signage systems
• Interpret and work with architectural drawings and floor plans
• Create and manage shop drawings for internal and client review
• Prepare production files and layouts for various fabrication machinery
• Collaborate with project managers, fabricators, and installers to ensure accuracy and quality
• Manage timelines and delegate tasks as needed
• Ensure design work aligns with brand guidelines and ADA compliance where necessary

Required Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in wayfinding or environmental graphic design
• Must be based in NYC and available to work on-site full-time
• Excellent English typography skills (spelling and typing)
• Excellent design skills
• Must have advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator

Strong Pluses

• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and construction documents
• Experience creating Design Intent Documents
• Familiarity with ADA design guidelines and accessibility standards
• Working knowledge of Revit
• Experience producing clear, accurate shop drawings and CNC-ready files
• Understanding of fabrication methods, materials, and production workflows
• Beginner or intermediate Spanish
• Knowledge of CMYK separations for pre-press production, silk-screening

Software Proficiency (Intermediate to Advanced)

Schedule

• 8-hour shift, Monday through Friday
