Location: New York, NY
Earn $100,000 - $110,000/year
Who We Are
o5 group is an industry leader in global fashion & apparel design with 40+ years of success across wholesale, e-comm, and marketplace. We are privately held, HQ in NYC with brand offices in CA — a dynamic portfolio of global brands committed to operational excellence in design, product development, production, sourcing, distribution & logistics. With category expertise in full-collection menswear, womenswear, childrenswear, and infant toddler; we specialize in denim, outerwear, activewear, and loungewear/sleepwear, trusted by top retailers.
About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Designer to lead concept-to-execution across denim and lifestyle apparel. This role sets the seasonal creative direction — color, fabric, washes, trims, graphics/prints, and silhouette — ensuring the broader collection ties cohesively back to denim. You’ll partner cross-functionally with merchandising, technical design, and production teams to deliver elevated, on-brand product on calendar.
How You’ll Contribute
· Own the design process from concept through execution, including color, fabric, wash, trim, silhouette, and special finish development.
· Drive seasonal creative direction across denim and lifestyle categories, ensuring all assortments tie back to denim as the anchor.
· Partner with design, print/graphics, and merchandising to deliver cohesive seasonal stories aligned to brand vision.
· Research and identify market trends, competitive product, and category opportunities; translate insights into actionable design direction.
· Execute trend presentations each season — mood boards, inspiration, sample rigging, and theme storytelling — in partnership with the VP of Design and Merchandising.
· Collaborate with technical design and production to maintain design intent, quality, and fit standards through sampling and approvals.
· Partner with the sample room and vendors to ensure timely sample execution aligned with development calendars.
· Initiate and develop new denim concepts, finishes, and product categories supporting brand growth.
· Monitor fabric and trim development, ensuring all deliverables meet timeline and quality expectations.
What You Bring to the Team
· 6–8 years of related fashion design experience, ideally in denim and lifestyle apparel.
· Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design or Fine Arts.
· Strong creative and commercial sensibility with proven ability to interpret market trends into cohesive product.
· Advanced skills in Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD sketching.
· Strong merchandising sense, concept and color vision, and refined design aesthetic.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills.
· Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Why Join o5 group
· Health Benefits: Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage.
· 401(k) + company-paid life insurance.
· Paid Time Off (PTO) + company holidays.
· Commuter benefits.
· Hybrid/flexible schedule.
· Family-oriented culture.
· Responsibility & Sustainability — at o5 group this spans economic, social, and environmental impact.
