Senior Development Manager

We have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Development Manager to join our Regeneration and Major Projects Team. You'll be based out of our head office in Basingstoke, combining office and home working to ensure a positive work/life balance.

What you'll be doing

This role will be responsible for delivering a portfolio of new regeneration opportunities, in line with our regional development strategy. Ensuring compliance with SNG's internal procedures, the post holder will use their experience, knowledge and skill to drive scheme performance in line with business parameters and agreed programme timescales.

The role will lead the progression of complex regeneration projects, from inception, through the planning process to secure satisfactory planning consents, skilfully manage scheme risks, lead delivery partner selection and appointment for handover to the Delivery team.

What we need from you

• Significant experience in the housing development sector, a track record of taking projects from inception to acquisition, appointing and managing consultant teams to secure and deliver new opportunities.
• Awareness of the planning process and a track record of securing planning consents.
• Financially literate, with the ability to input and interpret complex development appraisal models.
• Experience of using learning from a range of roles within the housing, real estate development or related sector.
• Comprehensive understanding of commercial practices relevant to delivering new developments.
• Experience leading mixed teams of professions and using skills, with a track record of collective achievement.
• Experience effectively managing a diverse portfolio of high value mixed use and mixed tenure development projects simultaneously.
