General Summary:
We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Senior Director of Engineering to lead our Consumer Processor Engineering division. In this pivotal leadership role, you will drive the strategic vision, development, and execution for the Retail, Industrial Handheld (IHH), and Home & Life segments.
You will serve as a key bridge between technical execution teams and global customers, collaborating closely with Product Management to translate market needs into comprehensive, end-to-end technology solutions. This is an opportunity to shape the future of consumer processor applications in a high-growth IoT landscape.

Experience: 13+ years of experience in software engineering with a deep focus on Android and Linux ecosystems.
Program Management: Proven ability to manage large-scale, complex programs involving multiple global stakeholders.
Leadership: 4+ years of experience in a formal leadership capacity, successfully scaling and managing high-performing engineering organizations.
Advanced Degree: Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
Customer-Facing Success: Proven track record of launching Linux- and Android-based products in direct collaboration with customers.
Technical Depth: Strong mastery of Android fundamentals and upgrade cycles; ability to map customer use cases directly to SoC capabilities.
Innovation Mindset: Demonstrated commitment to staying ahead of industry trends in AI, ML, and IoT technologies.
Leadership Competencies
Strategic Execution: Translates high-level goals into actionable execution plans. Drives complex, global decisions that impact business profitability while maintaining the highest ethical standards.
Coaching & Development: Builds a robust talent pipeline. Creates an inclusive environment focused on mentorship, professional growth, and alignment of individual goals with the broader organizational vision.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits :
$248,000.00 - $372,000.00The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
