Senior Director of Facilities Management

About the Role



Leads the development and implementation of optimal sourcing strategies, while concurrently provides comprehensive technical guidance to supervisory teams overseeing FM operations at the mall level.



Responsibilities



  • Develop and implement strategic plans for facilities management in alignment with the company's objectives and standards.
  • Oversee the maintenance and operation of all facilities, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, and other building systems.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards, fostering a culture of safety throughout the organization.
  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts related to facility services, including janitorial, security, landscaping, and maintenance contractors.
  • Implement preventative maintenance programs to prolong the life of assets and minimize downtime.
  • Lead emergency preparedness and response efforts, including developing contingency plans and conducting drills.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as leasing, development, and operations, to support the successful functioning of retail spaces.
  • Monitor and analyze facility performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Develop and manage the facilities management budget, controlling costs while delivering high-quality services.
  • Lead and mentor a team of facilities management professionals, fostering their professional development and ensuring high performance.
  • Perform added roles and tasks as per management needs.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in facilities management, engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Professional certification in facilities management (e.g., CFM, FMP) desirable.
  • 10+ years of facilities management experience, with 5 years in leadership.
  • Extensive knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and regulations.
  • Experience in retail real estate, particularly in Saudi Arabia, advantageous.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English.


Preferred Skills



  • Professional certification in facilities management (e.g., CFM, FMP)
  • Experience in retail real estate, particularly in Saudi Arabia
