Job Title: Senior Director of Global Operations & Planning
Summary / Objective
The Senior Director of Global Operations & Planning is responsible for leading end-to-end supply chain execution across global sourcing, inventory planning, and domestic fulfillment. This individual will serve as a
hands-on, player-coach leader
responsible for improving forecast accuracy, optimizing inventory and working capital, and increasing overall supply chain reliability.
This role oversees Asia-based sourcing and product costing, domestic distribution and 3PL management, and sales & operations planning (S&OP). The ideal candidate is equally comfortable operating strategically and executing tactically within a mid-sized, entrepreneurial environment.
Top Priorities (First 12–18 Months)

Improve forecast accuracy and establish a disciplined S&OP process across sales, merchandising, and operations

Optimize inventory levels and working capital while maintaining or improving service levels

Strengthen supplier performance and reduce production and inbound lead times across Asia sourcing network

Establish strong governance and performance management of 3PL partner, including service level accountability, cost optimization, and operational transparency

Essential Functions
Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
-
Lead a formal S&OP process to align demand, supply, and inventory for distribution business
-
Oversee demand forecasting process using POS data, historical trends, and new product launch inputs
-
Partner closely with Sales to align inventory and service levels with revenue objectives
Inventory Planning & Purchasing
-
Own inventory strategy, including target stock levels, safety stock, and reorder planning
-
Oversee purchasing and production planning (MPS) to align with forecast and inventory targets
-
Balance service levels with working capital efficiency and cash flow considerations
Global Sourcing & Supplier Management
-
Lead Hong Kong sourcing team to manage existing supplier base and identify new manufacturing partners
-
Develop and implement supplier scorecards focused on quality, cost, delivery, and reliability
-
Drive cost optimization initiatives including factory negotiations, packaging, and freight efficiencies

Partner with product development to align sourcing strategy with product roadmap
Product Costing

Oversee end-to-end product costing across all categories, including materials, freight and tariffs

Improve costing accuracy and transparency to support pricing and margin decisions

Identify opportunities to reduce total landed cost
Logistics & 3PL Management

Oversee third-party logistics (3PL) provider and distribution operation

Implement performance metrics and scorecards to ensure service level, cost, and efficiency targets are met

Partner with logistics providers to optimize inbound freight, container utilization, and delivery timelines
Systems & Process Improvement

Partner with leadership and external resources on ERP evaluation and implementation (not primary owner)

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, improve data visibility, and enhance decision-making

Oversee IT contractor/vendor relationships as they relate to operations systems and reporting
Travel Requirement

2–3 trips to Asia per year (~2 weeks per trip)

Preferably South Florida (Boca Raton HQ), open to other locations for the right candidate
Required Education & Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field preferred)

10–15+ years of experience in supply chain, operations, or sourcing leadership roles
-
Demonstrated experience in mid-sized ($30M–$150M) import/distribution or consumer goods businesses

Direct experience managing Asia-based sourcing and supplier relationships
-
Proven track record owning inventory planning, purchasing, and S&OP processes
-
Experience managing 3PLs, logistics providers, and global transportation

Strong understanding of product costing and total landed cost structures
-
Experience improving operational metrics such as forecast accuracy, inventory turns, and service levels

Salary
: $150,000–$175,000 BOE
