Job Description
Position Overview:
The Senior Director of Project Management is responsible for leading the project management of real estate development projects across hospitality, multi-family, and student housing sectors. This position requires a strategic and results-driven leader with a strong background in project management, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of managing complex projects from conception through completion.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of diverse project portfolios on time and within budget.

Define project scope, budgets, schedules, and deliverables in partnership with stakeholders.

Manage client relationships, ensuring clear communication and satisfaction throughout the lifecycle.

Negotiate contracts and oversee compliance, risk management, and quality assurance.

Drive continuous improvement, process efficiencies, and best practices across the team.
Requirements
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field (Masters preferred).

PMP certification or equivalent preferred.

12+ years of project management experience, including 7+ years in project leadership.

10–15 years with a reputable GC or construction management firm.

Direct experience managing $200M+ in commercial real estate projects in the past 5–10 years.

Strong knowledge of the construction lifecycle, project delivery methods, and value engineering.

Proven ability to negotiate contracts and deliver projects on time and within budget.

Skilled communicator with leadership presence and the ability to engage executives, clients, and investors.

Proficiency with project management software (Procore, MS Project, or equivalent).

Hospitality project experience (hotel builds, conversions, or renovations) preferred.

Background in adaptive reuse, historic tax credit projects, and financial analysis tools (Excel, Argus) is a plus.

Established industry network and experience mentoring junior staff.

Willingness to travel as required.
