Senior Director of Reentry, Behavioral Health and Justice Initiatives

Position Overview:

The Senior Director of Programs provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and supervisory support across Lead4Life’s core service areas, including the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP), Workforce Development initiatives, and the Returning Citizens Initiative (RCI). This role ensures program alignment with organizational goals, promotes trauma-informed and client-centered practices, and drives cross-program collaboration and accountability.

Key Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):

Program Oversight, Administration & Compliance

  • Provide direct supervision and leadership to the Rehabilitation Specialist overseeing the PRP program, ensuring clinical quality and compliance with state standards.
  • Offer strategic and operational oversight to the Workforce Development Manager and other program leads, supporting effective program delivery and adherence to trauma-informed practices.
  • Provide oversight and strategic direction to the Returning Citizens Initiative (RCI) as the agency’s primary reentry program, ensuring alignment with agency goals, funding requirements, and client needs.
  • Ensure coordination between programs to support holistic services for participants and streamline service delivery.
  • Ensure programs operate within budgetary and regulatory guidelines.

Strategic Leadership

  • Contribute to the strategic planning and development of new and existing programs.
  • Monitor and assess program effectiveness using data-informed decision-making and quality improvement practices.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Team to align program goals with Lead4Life’s mission, values, and strategic vision.
  • Support the management of Local Management Board (LMB) grants, ensuring program activities align with grant deliverables and reporting requirements.

Team Development

  • Foster a collaborative and supportive environment for program leaders through coaching, performance management, and professional development.
  • Facilitate and participate in weekly and monthly coordination and performance-tracking meetings with program teams to monitor service delivery, troubleshoot issues, and support staff development.

Partnerships and Development

  • Represent Lead4Life in community meetings, coalitions, and partnership-building efforts related to behavioral health and juvenile justice.
  • Strengthen relationships with referral sources, public agencies, and community-based organizations to enhance client access and engagement.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for program expansion or innovation through partnerships or pilot initiatives

Data Collection, Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Collect, analyze and report program data monthly.
  • Support grant management through coordination of program activities, data reporting, and contribution to proposals and evaluations.”
  • Ensure programs meet benchmarks, outcome measures, and participant satisfaction standards.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Youth Development, or related field (master's preferred) or equivalent professional work expirience (6+ years)
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in program leadership, with at least 2 years of direct staff supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral health and/or juvenile justice systems.
  • Experience in cross-functional leadership, trauma-informed care, and staff development.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-program environments or multi-disciplinary teams.

Working Schedule:
W-2 Full Time

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
