A&G (AllenGerritsen) is seeking an experienced PR expert to join our team as a Senior Director, PR and serve as our Newsroom lead.
The Newsroom is the heart of our earned media discipline, instrumental in driving and deepening the agency's capabilities across media relations, thought leadership development, and executive branding. In addition to leading the expansion of our Newsroom, the Senior Director will serve as a client partnership lead, responsible for account success and accountable to team efforts, including collaboration with PR team experts across Social Media and Creator Relations. This is an exciting opportunity to be an integral member of a collaborative practice helping clients earn attention, within a top independent, full-service PR and advertising agency.
Note that A&G is a hybrid agency, and this role will be expected to collaborate in-person three days a week in our Boston or Philadelphia Third Space.

Continuously elevate the quality of our Newsroom to amplify business outcomes, drive exceptional agency output, and deliver an outstanding client experience.

Drive client partnerships and account teams; this role may be responsible for managing the success of 3-5 client partnerships at any given time.

Serve as a trusted advisor and executive counselor, problem-solving in real time and providing support in times of crisis.

Manage the financial health of client partnerships, including developing SOWs, staffing plans, and budget tracking.

Regularly track and report on performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

While this role will primarily drive overarching account success, all Newsroom members are expected to maintain strong media relationships and excel at building successful earned media plans.

Represent the PR practice in integrated meetings and new business pitches.

Continuously identify and implement ways to raise the quality and consistency.

Develop tailored PR strategies based on the understanding of client's business objectives, target audiences, and competitive landscape.

Lead ongoing research initiatives to identify, vet, and establish new tools, partnerships, and processes to expand our Newsroom capabilities.

Qualifications:

First and foremost, you are a media relations guru with experience leading successful earned media programs that have driven meaningful business results for clients.

You have 8-10 years of relevant B2B, corporate, social impact, and/or crisis communications experience. While you crave diversity in account experience, these categories get you out of bed in the morning.

You excel at synthesizing and converting complex or highly technical information and data points into persuasive and impactful storytelling.

You have experience in agency land or on the client side in a fast-paced environment, leading multiple projects, lines of business, and growth areas simultaneously.

Writing is your superpower. We're looking for a combination of outstanding technical and creative writing that's been applied to draft key messaging, bylines, speeches, and op-eds.

You're experienced in new business pitch rooms and executive meetings and are skilled at presentations - both developing written communications and confidently presenting to clients and senior leadership.

You're entrepreneurial in spirit. You respect established processes but are equally as excited about new challenges that haven't been approached before and building something new.

You love being a people manager and prioritize coaching and mentorship of junior team members. This point is last on the list in sequence but first in priority.
