Mixel is seeking a Senior Director, Software Engineering (EDA) to lead regional strategy and execution for its Electronic Design Automation (EDA) business in Egypt and the broader region. This role will drive product innovation, customer engagement, and business growth, while collaborating closely with global teams. The ideal candidate will bring deep EDA expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven ability to operate in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Regional Business Leadership

• Own the P&L for the EDA business in Egypt and contribute to global forecasting and planning.
• Drive revenue growth, margin improvement, and cost optimization across the region. Product Strategy & Execution

Product Strategy & Execution

• Collaborate with global product teams to define and execute the regional product roadmap.
• Translate customer needs into detailed marketing requirement documents (MRDs).

Customer & Ecosystem Engagement

• Build and maintain strategic relationships with key customers, suppliers, and ecosystem partners.
• Lead customer qualification and issue resolution efforts in collaboration with engineering.

Team Leadership

• Lead and develop a high-performing regional EDA team, including engineering, marketing, and field support.
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Strategic Marketing

• Drive outbound marketing initiatives for EDA products in the region.
• Position Silvaco as a leader in EDA for automotive, AI datacenter, and emerging markets.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with global sales, legal, operations, and other business units.
• Ensure alignment with corporate goals and seamless execution across functions.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Master's degree in electrical engineering or related field
• 15+ years of experience in the EDA industry, with at least 7 years in a leadership role
• Proven success in managing regional business operations and product strategy
• Experience working with global teams and matrixed organizations
• Fluency in English
• Strong understanding of Egypt's tech ecosystem and semiconductor landscape

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• PhD Electrical Engineering or related field

At Mixel, a Silvaco Company, salary ranges are determined by role, level and geographic location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, role-related knowledge and skills, depth of experience, relevant education or training and additional role-related considerations.
