Senior Drafter- PCS

NCRi Solutions is looking for a Senior Drafter- PCS for one of the biggest Conglomerate clients based in UAE who is responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and design documentation for façade, ACP, aluminum, and architectural projects. This role ensures all designs are accurate, compliant with project specifications, and aligned with engineering requirements while supporting project delivery through constructible designs and the mentorship of junior staff.

Key Accountabilities

• Prepare accurate, detailed technical drawings, plans, and 3D models for façade components and assemblies.
• Ensure all drawings strictly comply with approved specifications, engineering standards, and project requirements.
• Review and validate design inputs from engineers before beginning the drafting process.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality Control (QC), and Project teams to ensure designs are constructible and meet all fabrication requirements.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior drafters regarding CAD standards, drawing accuracy, and industry best practices.
• Produce 2D and 3D CAD drawings for aluminium façades, ACP panels, curtain walls, and associated structures using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent software.
• Update drawings based on design changes, Requests for Information (RFIs), and site feedback.
• Ensure drawings include complete information, such as dimensions, tolerances, materials, finishes, and fabrication notes.
• Maintain proper version control of all drawings and related documentation.
• Coordinate with Project Engineers and site teams for design modifications and support the preparation of fabrication drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and assembly drawings.
• Conduct internal drawing checks to minimize errors and prevent rework during production.
• Follow internal drafting standards, company procedures, and regional construction regulations (e.g., UAE).
• Directly mentor and supervise junior drafters or CAD operators, reviewing their work to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Provide professional guidance on design interpretation and document control.
• Identify and suggest improvements in drafting processes to enhance overall team efficiency.
• Support the development of standardized templates, symbols, and drafting procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize designs for manufacturability and installation.

Communication & Interaction

• Internal: Regularly interacts with engineers, project managers, and production teams.
• External: Liaises with suppliers, consultants, and contractors as required.

Qualification and Experience

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Architectural Engineering / Drafting.
• Technical Certifications: Preferred certification in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or relevant CAD software.
• Technical Knowledge:
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Revit.
• Strong knowledge of construction and façade industry drafting standards.
• Understanding of façade systems, ACP, aluminium, and curtain wall designs.
• Experience: * Minimum 5–8 years of experience in drafting for façade, aluminium, ACP, or architectural projects.
• Hands-on experience producing detailed fabrication and assembly drawings.
• Exposure to UAE construction projects and standards is preferred.
