Qualification: DAE/B.Tech
Experience: 3-5 years
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and manage DSNG satellite uplink systems for live news broadcasting from field locations
- Set up and align satellite antennas to establish stable uplink communication with broadcast satellites
- Ensure live transmission of video and audio signals from remote locations to the broadcast station
- Monitor signal strength, frequency coordination, and transmission quality during live broadcasts
- Coordinate with NOC and newsroom staff to ensure seamless live coverage
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to satellite transmission, encoders, and RF equipment
- Manage power systems, cables, and broadcast equipment during field operations
- Ensure compliance with satellite transmission regulations and safety protocols
- Support live breaking news coverage, outdoor broadcasts, and special events
- Maintain and perform basic maintenance of DSNG vehicles and transmission equipment
Key Competencies:
- Strong technical knowledge of DSNG satellite uplink systems and RF equipment
- Ability to align satellite antennas and maintain stable signal transmission under field conditions
- Skilled in troubleshooting broadcast transmission, encoder, and connectivity issues
- Understanding of live broadcasting workflows and coordination with Noc and News teams
- Ability to work under pressure during live news coverage and breaking events
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills in remote environments
- Good knowledge of broadcast equipment setup, signal monitoring, and transmission quality control
- Effective communication and coordination with reporters, producers, and technical team
- Ability to manage field operations, power systems, and technical logistics
- Strong attention to detail to ensure uninterrupted live transmission
