Senior Electrical Design Engineer

  • Job Summary:

Associate Tech Lead / Tech Lead - Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of Electrical systems for HVAC products. The responsibilities include New Product Development (NPD), Component Engineering, Value Analysis and Value Engineering(VAVE) projects development in Electrical Engineering.

  • Roles and Responsibilities

1. Lead, and Design & Development of Electrical Systems, Low Voltage Electrical Control Panel and Cable & Wiring Harness. 2. Electrical Component sizing, selection, and qualification as per UL, IEC, and country specific regulatory requirements. 3. Make tradeoff analysis of circuits and components with respect to best performance, low cost, high quality and design flexibility. 4. To foster an environment conducive for innovation & change with good analytical Thinking. 5. Work along with multi-disciplinary (Structural, Electronics, Software, Lab and Reliability) teams to develop system or component level functional, reliability & qualification requirements and design. 6. Work closely with Supply chain management team to source and evaluate / qualify the purchased components and assemblies.

  • Required Skills

1. Experience in Product Development and Electrical Systems development as per Marketing Requirement Document (MRD), Product Requirement Document (PRD) and Regulatory Requirements (RR). 2. Proficiency in Electrical Components with development capabilities include specifications development, sizing & selection, testing (functional & reliability) and analysis, for followings components: a. Electrical Components: Switchgear and Control components, Primary and secondary protection devices, Safety devices, Transformer, Relay, Connectors, Power Supply, Sensors, Transducers and Switches. b. LV Motors (AC Induction, Brush DC, BLDC, Stepper, Servo, Permanent Magnet). c. Application development - LV Motor Starters and Controllers (X-Link, Star/Delta, Soft Starters, Variable Frequency Drives). 3. Proficient in Design and development of Low Voltage control panel. 4. Proficient in Product Level Electrical system design, Wiring & Harness Design.

  • Desired Skills:

  • Soft Skills :

1. Firm grasp of engineering fundamentals. 2. Self-motivated, willing to take initiative, able to function effectively in independent and team-based situations. 3. Must demonstrate strong proficiency in preparing written reports and effectively presenting technical information to diverse audiences. 4. Strong written and oral communication skills required with good interpersonal skills, able to express concepts and ideas with clarity. 5. Ability to work with onsite Teams and engineers. 6. Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Other Specific Requirements

1. Good understanding of safety and protection standards and their implementation. 2. Thorough understanding of Global Electrical Codes and Country Standards (IEC, UL, NEC, NFPA and CSA). 3. Knowledge of PLM and Bill of Material preparation. 4. Knowledge of Electrical design tools. 5. Working experience in Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR) Industries.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
