Key Responsibilities:
- Design, review, and develop electrical systems and layouts based on project requirements and applicable standards.
- Prepare and review electrical drawings, specifications, load calculations, and BOQs.
- Supervise on-site electrical works to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with design documents.
- Coordinate with architects, structural, mechanical, and civil teams to integrate electrical systems into the overall project.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for material selection, technical approvals, and timely delivery.
- Conduct site inspections and testing of installed electrical systems (e.g., cable routing, panels, lighting, grounding).
- Assist in the commissioning of electrical systems and ensure proper documentation and handover.
- Address technical queries, resolve issues during construction, and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
- Support procurement by evaluating vendors and reviewing technical submittals.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers
- Resolve complex technical issues, design conflicts, and site challenges
- Lead value engineering initiatives and optimize system performance and cost.
- Coordinate electrical interfaces with mechanical, architectural, and structural disciplines.
- Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and technical submissions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the Building & MEP.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and regulations.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux/Relux, and electrical calculation software.
- Familiarity with construction methods, safety procedures, and project documentation.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and technical documents.
