Job Summary
The Senior Electrical Engineer will oversee and coordinate all aspects of electrical power, lighting, protection, and low current systems for high-profile, complex projects. The role involves close coordination with clients, authorities, consultants, and contractors, ensuring compliance with project requirements, design standards, and certification goals. The incumbent will provide both design-related technical support and site supervision, with a primary focus on quality assurance, safety, and timely delivery. This position will be based on a landmark project — a new, iconic headquarters designed for 400 staff and 60 business partners, incorporating advanced technologies and targeting Net Zero Carbon (NZC), LEED Zero, and LEED Platinum certifications

Key Responsibilities

Develop and review complex electrical design deliverables, including Medium Voltage (MV), Low Voltage (LV), Low Current (LC), and ICT systems.

Perform load/fault calculations and simulate/select or approve distribution solutions.

Review and approve contractor shop drawings, material submissions, mock-ups, and operation & maintenance manuals.

Coordinate with IT/communications, AV, and ELV consultants to ensure compliance with design requirements and project specifications.

Submit and review electrical designs with local authorities to obtain permits and approvals.

Provide technical input and address tender queries during bidding phases; evaluate contractor bids.

Lead site supervision activities for electrical installations, ensuring adherence to design, safety, and quality standards.

Perform inspections of major installations, witness testing, commissioning, and demonstrations for compliance.

Support supervision teams with technical guidance on electrical systems during construction.

Manage warranty-related documentation and follow-up.

Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, and authorities to resolve design and construction-related issues.

Relay and track the incorporation of client and authority comments into project deliverables.

Assist project leadership in overall management of electrical works on-site.
Required Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Minimum 12 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably with prior experience in supervision and in electrical design.

Proven experience delivering at least two projects from inception to handover.

Strong knowledge of MV, LV, LC, and ICT systems.

Understanding of international engineering standards and codes; knowledge of Saudi Arabia construction regulations is an advantage.

Experience in coordinating with local authorities and managing approvals.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Proficiency in spoken and written English; Arabic is an advantage.
