Senior Electrical Engineer

This is a hybrid technical and customer-facing position, blending engineering design, field support, and SEL programming. The ideal candidate will be confident working independently and collaboratively across multiple projects and departments.


Compensation:

💰 $150,000 – $155,000 base salary

🎯 +10% annual bonus

🏡 Fully remote (occasional travel as required)


Key Responsibilities:


  • Automation & Source Transfer: Design, test, and support commissioning for advanced distribution automation and source transfer applications for utility and commercial/industrial clients.
  • Proposal Development: Contribute to project proposals with detailed cost estimates and technical insights to support a successful bidding process.
  • Field & Commissioning Support: Collaborate with Field Service teams during commissioning and provide post-deployment support to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Standards & Protocols: Ensure adherence to relevant industry standards and communication protocols for all protection and control initiatives.
  • Training & Enablement: Develop and deliver technical training for both internal teams and external customers to enhance product and system understanding.
  • Technology Watch: Stay up to date on the latest tools, products, and methodologies in the power systems space and apply them effectively to projects.
  • Mentorship: Act as a technical mentor to junior engineers, providing guidance, feedback, and opportunities for growth through collaboration and regular engagement.
  • Process Improvement: Enhance Standard Work Practices to streamline design and execution, simplify workflows, and improve efficiency across teams.
  • Safety Leadership: Model and promote safe work practices, ensuring compliance with company and industry safety standards.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, engineering, product development, operations, and safety teams to align initiatives and support organizational goals.
  • Communication & Reporting: Provide regular project updates to leadership and stakeholders using clear, effective communication methods.



Qualifications:


  • Bachelors in Engineering a must, Masters preferred
  • Experience in programming SEL relays
  • Experience in protection/automation
  • Experience with SCADA
  • 10 years of relevant work experience
