This is a hybrid technical and customer-facing position, blending engineering design, field support, and SEL programming. The ideal candidate will be confident working independently and collaboratively across multiple projects and departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Automation & Source Transfer:
Design, test, and support commissioning for advanced distribution automation and source transfer applications for utility and commercial/industrial clients.

Proposal Development:
Contribute to project proposals with detailed cost estimates and technical insights to support a successful bidding process.

Field & Commissioning Support:
Collaborate with Field Service teams during commissioning and provide post-deployment support to ensure optimal system performance.

Standards & Protocols:
Ensure adherence to relevant industry standards and communication protocols for all protection and control initiatives.

Training & Enablement:
Develop and deliver technical training for both internal teams and external customers to enhance product and system understanding.

Technology Watch:
Stay up to date on the latest tools, products, and methodologies in the power systems space and apply them effectively to projects.

Mentorship:
Act as a technical mentor to junior engineers, providing guidance, feedback, and opportunities for growth through collaboration and regular engagement.

Process Improvement:
Enhance Standard Work Practices to streamline design and execution, simplify workflows, and improve efficiency across teams.

Safety Leadership:
Model and promote safe work practices, ensuring compliance with company and industry safety standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with sales, engineering, product development, operations, and safety teams to align initiatives and support organizational goals.

Provide regular project updates to leadership and stakeholders using clear, effective communication methods.
Qualifications:

Bachelors in Engineering a must, Masters preferred

Experience in programming SEL relays

Experience in protection/automation
-
Experience with SCADA
-
10 years of relevant work experience
