Senior Electrical Engineer

The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for overseeing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical components of fire protection systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and comply with safety regulations. The role involves project planning, technical leadership, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to support life safety systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting of electrical components in fire protection systems, including fire alarms, sprinklers, smoke detectors, emergency power, and suppression systems.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure system reliability and compliance.
• Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions for system failures or malfunctions.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and maintenance records for compliance audits.
• Collaborate with fire safety officers, facilities management, and external contractors to ensure proper operation of systems.
• Evaluate and recommend upgrades or improvements to existing fire protection electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with local, national, and industry fire safety codes and regulations, including Qatar Civil Defence (QCDD) standards and NFPA.

Qualifications:

• UPDA Certified
• QCDD Licensed (Qatar Civil Defence)
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 5 to 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in maintenance of fire protection or life safety systems
• Strong knowledge of fire protection electrical systems, codes, and standards (e.g., NFPA, IEC)
• Experience with system diagnostics, preventive maintenance programs, and troubleshooting
• Proficiency in electrical design and maintenance software
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills

Pay: QAR10,000.00 - QAR12,000.00 per month

License/Certification:

• UPDA/QCDD (Preferred)
