We are seeking a highly competent Senior Electrical Engineer with at least 10 years of experience to oversee electrical engineering activities within a CMS project. The ideal candidate will be responsible for design review, technical compliance, site supervision, and coordination of electrical works throughout all project phases. This role requires in-depth knowledge of power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, ELV, and other building electrical systems.
Responsibilities:
- Review and verify electrical design drawings, specifications, and calculations submitted by consultants and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with project requirements, international codes (e.g., NEC, IEC, IEEE), and local regulations.
- Coordinate and liaise with architectural, structural, mechanical, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration.
- Monitor and inspect electrical works on-site for quality assurance, safety compliance, and adherence to design intent.
- Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and respond to RFIs (Requests for Information).
- Support project planning by validating electrical activities, timelines, and milestones.
- Conduct factory acceptance tests (FAT) and oversee testing and commissioning activities.
- Provide technical support to project teams and contractors during procurement and construction stages.
- Attend project meetings and prepare technical reports and presentations.
Ensure that sustainability and energy efficiency requirements are integrated into the electrical design (where applicable).
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, including at least 5 years in a CMS or consultancy role.
- Deep understanding of building electrical systems: LV, MV, lighting, fire alarm, BMS, and ELV systems.
- Proficiency in design and analysis tools such as ETAP, Dialux, AutoCAD, Revit MEP, etc.
- Thorough knowledge of international codes and standards (NEC, IEC, IEEE, BS, etc.).
- Experience in large-scale infrastructure, commercial, healthcare, or mixed-use developments.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and coordinate with stakeholders.
