Senior Electrical Engineer

About the Company

BTU Electromechanical Works LLC is a Design & Build MEP Contractor specializing in fit-out and building projects across Dubai. We are expanding into mid-rise developments and are looking for a capable Senior Electrical Engineer to support the execution of a G+10 building project.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with strong UAE experience in high-rise building projects. The candidate must be capable of handling the complete project cycle—from design coordination and authority approvals to execution, testing, and handover.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Engineering

• Prepare load calculations, voltage drop, and short circuit calculations
• Cable sizing, MDB/SMDB/DB design and coordination
• Lighting design and lux level calculations
• Earthing and lightning protection design review

Execution, Site Coordination & Authority Approvals

• Review shop drawings and as-built drawings
• Material submittals and approvals
• Supervise installation works and ensure QA/QC compliance
• Coordinate with other MEP and civil teams
• Manage submissions and approvals with DEWA
• Coordinate with Dubai Civil Defence (DCD) for Fire Alarm systems
• Handle consultant comments and ensure compliance

Testing & Commissioning

• Lead testing & commissioning activities
• Ensure smooth energization and handover process

Commercial & Technical Coordination

• Review BOQ vs drawings and identify discrepancies
• Support value engineering and cost optimization

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 10 years of experience, with UAE experience mandatory
• Experience in high-rise projects (G+15 and above preferred)
• Strong knowledge of DEWA and DCD approval processes
• Hands-on experience in design + execution + commissioning
• Proficiency in:
• AutoCAD (mandatory)
• Revit (preferred)
• Dialux / ETAP (advantage)

• Strong problem-solving and coordination skills
• Capable of handling responsibilities independently

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED14,000.00 - AED18,000.00 per month
