senior electrical engineer ADDC Approved

· Manage the complete electrical scope from mobilization through final handover.

· Review IFC drawings, specifications, BOQs, consultant requirements, and electrical technical obligations.

· Lead electrical design coordination, technical reviews and constructability reviews.

· Review shop drawings, technical submissions and method statements before consultant submission.

· Coordinate LV/MV interfaces where applicable, power, lighting, earthing, lightning protection, emergency systems, ELV and BMS integration.

· Provide technical leadership to electrical site engineers, foremen, subcontractors and labor teams.

· Monitor electrical installation progress, productivity, quality, and compliance with project requirements.

· Participate in procurement reviews, supplier evaluations, and long-lead electrical equipment tracking.

· Ensure compliance with project quality, HSE and authority requirements.

· Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, energization and authority approvals.

· Lead power-on strategy, temporary power requirements, and electrical commissioning meetings.

· Review protection coordination studies and technical interfaces where applicable.

· Support planning and recovery actions where electrical works affect critical path activities.

· Prepare technical reports, weekly progress updates, and management inputs.

· Assist QS/commercial teams with variations, change orders, and claim substantiation.

· Lead design optimization, technical issue resolution, and lesson sessions.

· Mentor engineering staff and support team development.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

· UAE Engineers registration preferred.

· PMP certification is an advantage.

Experience

· Minimum 10 years of UAE/GCC MEP contracting experience.

· Minimum 5 years in a senior engineering role.

· Experience in large communities, mixed-use developments, infrastructure or Aldar projects preferred.

Technical Skills / Knowledge

· LV power distribution and MV/LV interfaces where applicable

· Lighting, emergency lighting, earthing and lightning protection

· ELV, BMS and SCADA coordination where applicable

· Testing, commissioning and energization

· Authority approvals and UAE electrical regulations

· ETAP/power system coordination knowledge preferred

· AutoCAD, Bluebeam, MS Office and BIM coordination

· Value engineering and power quality awareness
