Senior Electrical Engineer (Data Centres)

About the Company

We are representing a leading data centre developer with a rapidly expanding portfolio of hyperscale and enterprise facilities across the Middle East. Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, the company is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support the delivery of large-scale mission-critical developments.


This role will focus on the design, coordination and technical delivery of electrical systems across multiple data centre projects.


The Role

The Senior Electrical Engineer will play a key role in the development and delivery of electrical infrastructure for mission-critical facilities. Working alongside internal technical teams, consultants and contractors, the successful candidate will ensure electrical systems are designed and delivered to meet the highest standards of reliability, resilience and efficiency.

The role will cover the full project lifecycle from concept and design review through construction support, commissioning and handover.



Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of electrical systems across hyperscale and enterprise data centre developments
  • Review and manage electrical design deliverables produced by engineering consultants
  • Ensure designs meet data centre reliability requirements, including redundancy strategies and resilience standards
  • Provide technical input on high voltage and low voltage power distribution systems
  • Support the design and coordination of UPS systems, generators, switchgear and critical power infrastructure
  • Review contractor submissions, shop drawings and technical documentation
  • Coordinate with mechanical, civil and architectural teams to ensure integrated project delivery
  • Support commissioning and testing activities for critical electrical infrastructure
  • Assist in managing technical risks and ensuring compliance with international standards and local regulations


Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or working towards chartership through a recognised institution such as IET or CIBSE preferred
  • 8–12+ years of experience within building services, mission critical or data centre projects
  • Strong experience with electrical infrastructure for critical facilities
  • Knowledge of UPS systems, backup power generation, MV/LV distribution and redundancy design
  • Experience working with engineering consultancies, contractors, or developers
  • Strong technical coordination and design review capability
  • Experience supporting projects through design, construction and commissioning
