Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our MEP contracting team in Kuwait. The ideal candidate will lead the electrical design, installation, testing, and commissioning of commercial and industrial HVAC and MEP projects. The role requires a strong background in electrical systems, coordination with mechanical disciplines, and familiarity with Kuwait local authority regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee electrical engineering works for HVAC and MEP projects from design to handover.
• Prepare and review electrical designs, drawings, and calculations (lighting, power distribution, earthing, LV systems, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with Kuwait Ministry regulations, KFD (Fire Department), and MEW standards.
• Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems at site.
• Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, and civil teams to ensure full MEP integration.
• Prepare load schedules, single line diagrams (SLDs), and panel board schedules.
• Review and approve material submittals, shop drawings, and method statements.
• Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and ensure work progress aligns with project timelines.
• Liaise with consultants, clients, and contractors for project approvals and technical clarifications.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and site teams.
• Prepare as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and project documentation upon completion.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in electrical works within MEP contracting firms.
• Proven experience in HVAC, commercial, and industrial MEP projects.
• Strong knowledge of IEC standards, MEW regulations, and local authority approval processes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Dialux, and MS Office.
• Excellent knowledge of power distribution, lighting, ELV, fire alarm, and control systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Transferable visa (Article 18) preferred.

Preferred Attributes:

• Valid Kuwait Society of Engineers (KSE) membership.
• Previous experience in design & build projects.

Knowledge of energy efficiency standards and sustainable building practices.
