Senior Electrical Engineer (UPDA Grade A or B)

Q-Solar Energy Solutions is seeking an experienced and highly competent Senior Electrical Engineer (UPDA Grade A or B certified) to support the design, engineering, and execution of commercial and industrial solar PV projects in Qatar.

The ideal candidate must possess strong technical expertise in electrical systems, working knowledge of civil coordination, and hands-on experience in preparing detailed AutoCAD drawings and electrical schematics.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review detailed electrical designs, SLDs, layouts, and technical drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop solar PV system designs in compliance with Kahramaa and local regulations.
• Prepare load calculations, cable sizing, protection schemes, and panel board layouts.
• Coordinate with civil teams for structural foundations, cable routing, and mounting systems.
• Support grid-connection documentation and authority approvals (Kahramaa submissions).
• Conduct site inspections and supervise installation works.
• Review BOQs and ensure technical compliance with project specifications.
• Assist in testing, commissioning, and project handover documentation.
• Provide technical support during client meetings and proposal stages.

Requirements

• UPDA/MME Grade A or B certification (mandatory).
• Engineering degree (mandatory).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical engineering.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
• Experience in solar PV systems (commercial/industrial) preferred.
• Ability to prepare SLDs, schematics, and detailed electrical drawings.
• Good understanding of civil works coordination related to electrical installations.
• Knowledge of Kahramaa regulations and procedures.
• Strong problem-solving and site coordination skills.
• Good communication skills

Pay: QAR7,000.00 - QAR10,000.00 per month
