Senior Electrician

Responsible for overseeing electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs across various facilities. This role combines hands-on expertise with leadership, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with regulations while mentoring junior staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including wiring, lighting, transformers, and control systems2
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical issues to minimize downtime
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes and safety standards
• Supervise and mentor junior electricians, providing guidance and training
• Coordinate with other departments to plan and execute electrical projects
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities
• Respond to emergency calls and perform demand maintenance as needed

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an electrician, preferably in a senior or supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and safety protocols
• Ability to read technical diagrams and blueprints
• Familiarity with PLC systems and industrial equipment (e.g., compressors, pumps, conveyors)
• Relevant certifications or licenses (e.g., OSHA, NFPA, NAVSEA)
• Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills
