Job Requisition #: 034029

Shift: 2nd Shift — Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM (Overtime as Required)

As a senior maintenance professional, you’ll keep our injection molding production running at peak performance. You’ll blend hands-on troubleshooting with preventive practices using Greif’s E‑Maintenance system to sustain reliability across molding machines and auxiliary equipment.

A Day in the Life

When your shift begins, you review scheduled PMs and open work orders. You prioritize safety, lock out equipment, and dig into diagnostics—oscillating between mechanical tear-downs and PLC checks. One hour you’re calibrating sensors and aligning bearings; the next you’re tracing a hydraulic issue, updating records, and coaching a junior tech. You close the day by verifying machine performance, documenting adjustments, and contributing ideas to our Operational Excellence and Lean initiatives.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive equipment reliability with scheduled preventive maintenance on molding and auxiliary systems.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, PLC, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
  • Interpret manuals, diagrams, sketches, engineering specs, and work orders to plan and execute work.
  • Use hand tools and precision measuring instruments to verify dimensional requirements.
  • Assemble, install, adjust, and calibrate electro‑mechanical machinery and components.
  • Dismantle, rebuild, and replace parts as needed to restore performance.
  • Adhere to all plant safety policies and procedures.
  • Engage in plant-wide safety, housekeeping, Operational Excellence, and Lean Manufacturing programs.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior maintenance colleagues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) or technical training, plus 3–5 years of relevant maintenance experience.

Skills That Set You Up for Success

  • Proficiency with hand, power, and specialty tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Working knowledge of automated industrial machinery and electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Familiarity with injection molding machines and related auxiliaries.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical drawings and work orders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills; communicate issues and solutions effectively with the team.
  • Comfort managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capability to troubleshoot, disassemble, and reassemble manufacturing equipment.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with limited supervision.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related software.

Grow with Purpose
