Senior ELV Technician

Job Purpose

To lead and execute installation, testing, configuration, and commissioning of ELV and home automation systems. The role requires strong technical expertise in system integration, troubleshooting, and supervision of junior technicians to ensure high-quality project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and execute installation, termination, and testing of all ELV systems including:
• Home Automation (KNX), CCTV, Access Control, Intercom, Structured Cabling.
• Perform full commissioning, programming, and integration of home automation and ELV systems.
• Conduct troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and system calibration during and after installation.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, control schematics, and technical documents.
• Ensure proper cable routing, labeling, and termination as per project standards.
• Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers for smooth execution.
• Prepare testing and commissioning reports and assist in final handover documentation.
• Guide and train junior technicians on installation, testing, and commissioning procedures.
• Follow all site safety and quality control procedures.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong hands-on experience in home automation systems (KNX preferred).
• Deep knowledge of ELV systems installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Ability to configure, test, and integrate multiple ELV systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with IP-based systems and network configuration (basic level).
• Good communication and team coordination skills.
• Capable of working independently and handling multiple systems simultaneously.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma / ITI in Electrical, Electronics, or Telecommunications Engineering.
• 6–10 years of experience in ELV system installation and commissioning.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Home Automation (KNX or equivalent) systems.
• Experience with leading ELV brands (Honeywell, Bosch, Hikvision, ABB, etc.) preferred.
