Senior Engineer / Engineer – HPDC Foundry, CNC & Robot Maintenance

Roles & Responsibility ;

High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) Foundry

• Operate and maintain HPDC machines (Buhler, Toshiba, Zitai, or equivalent).

Support process improvements, kaizen, and cycle-time reduction initiatives

• Execute preventive maintenance, and breakdown troubleshooting.
• Optimize casting parameters to minimize defects like porosity, cold shuts, and shrinkage.
• Coordinate with stores and spares management.

CNC Maintenance

• Carry out preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for VMC, HMC, and turning centers.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and CNC control systems (Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi).
• Manage spindles, ball screws, lubrication, and coolant systems to ensure machine reliability.
• Assist in new CNC installation, commissioning, and line integration.
• Monitor MTBF/MTTR and maintain equipment health records.

Robotics (Fanuc & Yaskawa)

• Perform routine maintenance, backup & restoration of robot programs, and safety checks.
• Troubleshoot and rectify robot errors, servo alarms, encoder issues, and path deviations.
• Optimize robot motion paths and cycle time for die casting, spraying, extraction, and handling.
• Support end-of-arm tooling (EOAT) maintenance and sensor calibration.
• Coordinate with vendors for upgrades, retrofits, and training.
• Maintain robot safety compliance (interlocks, guarding, and emergency stop systems).

Aluminum Melting & Holding Furnaces

• Oversee operation and maintenance of melting and holding furnaces (electric/gas-fired).
• Monitor burners, refractory lining, pumps, and temperature control systems.
• Ensure proper functioning of charging systems, crucibles, and ladles.
• Troubleshoot thermal, electrical, and mechanical issues in furnaces.
• Implement preventive maintenance schedules for furnaces, ladles, and metal transfer systems.
• Ensure energy efficiency, temperature accuracy, and compliance with safety/environmental norms.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain records of breakdowns, preventive maintenance schedules, and spares usage.
• Prepare root cause analysis reports and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, OHSAS/ISO 45001 standards.
• Drive 5S, TPM, and safety culture across the shop floor.
• Execute preventive maintenance, and breakdown troubleshooting.
• Optimize casting parameters to minimize defects like porosity, cold shuts, and shrinkage.
• Coordinate with stores and spares management.
• Support process improvements, kaizen, and cycle-time reduction initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualification;

• HPDC process expertise (defect analysis, die performance, shot control).
• CNC maintenance & troubleshooting (Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi).
• Robot programming & maintenance (Fanuc iPendant, Yaskawa DX100/200, MotoSim preferred).
• Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving abilities.
• Exposure to lean manufacturing, TPM, and predictive maintenance techniques.
• Good communication, team leadership, and vendor coordination skills.
• Proven experience in High-Pressure Die Casting operations, with at least 5 to 8 Years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage and inspire a diverse team of employees
• Education in Diploma and Degree in Mechanical / Electrical engineering or manufacturing
• Strong mechanical and manufacturing experience

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
