Job Title: Senior Engineer – LOHA & UGD
Department: Field Service / Mining Equipment Maintenance
Location: Dariba Workshop (with travel to sites on consultant gatepass)
Reporting To: Central Specialists – HZL Cluster 1 & 2
Experience Required:
Minimum 5–10 years of experience in HEMM / Mining Machinery , post Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
Compensation:
- (based on experience & interview feedback)
- 25% Variable Pay
- Hardship Allowance: ₹14,000/month OR ₹9,000 + Travel DA
Key Responsibilities:
1. Field Service & Technical Support
- Provide hands-on service support for Load & Haul (LHDs, Trucks) and Drill Rigs
- Perform on-site troubleshooting, fault diagnostics, and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and automation systems
- Respond to emergency breakdowns to minimize equipment downtime
2. Commissioning & Warranty Support
- Lead commissioning of new machines at customer sites
- Manage and resolve warranty claims with OEM product support and engineering teams
- Ensure smooth handover of equipment with full documentation
3. Preventive Maintenance & Inspection
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules as per OEM guidelines
- Conduct Condition-Based Monitoring (CBM) and inspections to identify potential failures
- Recommend component overhauls, replacements, or upgrades proactively
4. Customer Relationship Management
- Act as the technical point of contact for customers (mining clients, contractors)
- Provide equipment health updates , performance insights, and service recommendations
- Promote OEM aftermarket parts and service solutions
5. Team Leadership & Training
- Supervise junior technicians and ensure safety & service standards
- Conduct operator and maintenance training sessions at site
- Share best practices and lessons learned with internal teams
6. EHS Compliance
- Adhere strictly to EHS standards during all service and site operations
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure safe work practices, both underground and open-pit
7. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare detailed service reports, failure analyses, and condition reports
- Provide feedback to engineering and product teams on recurring field issues

Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong technical knowledge of HEMM equipment (Loaders, Trucks, Drills)
