Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Storage Engineer with strong expertise in Dell EMC PowerScale (Isilon) and Data Domain technologies. The role requires providing administration, support, and optimization of enterprise storage and backup environments, ensuring reliability, availability, and performance across hybrid delivery (onsite + remote).
Key Responsibilities:- Administer, configure, and manage Dell EMC PowerScale (Isilon) storage environments.
- Provide secondary support and administration for Dell EMC Data Domain backup solutions.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve storage and backup-related issues in enterprise infrastructures.
- Perform health checks, capacity planning, and system performance optimization.
- Support storage provisioning, replication, migration, and backup/restore operations.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, backup, and virtualization teams to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Provide onsite support for 1 week for initial setup/knowledge transfer and then deliver remote support for 11 months 3 weeks.
- Prepare documentation for configurations, troubleshooting, and operational procedures.
Requirements:- Strong hands-on expertise in Dell EMC PowerScale (Isilon) administration (primary skill).
- Working knowledge of Dell EMC Data Domain backup solutions (secondary skill).
- 4–6+ years of experience in enterprise storage and/or backup administration.
- Experience with multi-platform environments (Windows, Linux, VMware).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setup and collaborate with distributed teams.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:- Dell EMC certifications (e.g., DECS-SA, Dell EMC Data Protection Specialist).
- Knowledge of cyber recovery solutions and data protection best practices.
- Familiarity with automation/scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
