We are seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and proactive Quality Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring that our products and services consistently meet the highest standards of quality. By implementing robust quality control and assurance processes, you will work to prevent quality issues before they arise, minimize costs associated with quality defects, and drive continuous improvement. Your efforts will directly impact customer satisfaction, helping us deliver exceptional products that exceed expectations.
What You Will Do
Supplier Quality Control through engagement in FAI; conformance inspection plans/methods/equipment; and driving corrective actions to prevent repeat rejections.
Supplier Quality Assurance through:
Developing and implementing proactive quality strategies
Contract review/flow down
Supplier performance reviews and improvement
Identifies and mitigates new repair risks utilizing Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) tools.
Conducts process reviews to identified opportunities to prevent defects.
Manages supplier scorecard program
Internal and external audits to identify opportunities to improve compliance to AS 9100 series standards
Lead Continuous Improvement projects to improve first pass yield and reduce costs of poor quality
Provide SAP Quality Module administration
Escape Management to contain, disposition and prevent escapes
Perform conformance inspections as needed in support of Inspection team as needed to keep backlogs down
What You Will Learn
Gain hands-on experience with conformance inspection plans, methods, and equipment to ensure product quality at every stage.
Learn how to develop and implement proactive quality strategies to mitigate risks before they affect production.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience

Qualifications We Prefer
Two years of experience working with suppliers on corrective actions and quality improvements.
Experience managing quality escape investigations.
Experience working within the SAP Quality Module

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
