Senior Engineer, Vehicle Systems Engineering

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design low voltage vehicle power and communications architecture
• Work with supply chain to identify and secure low voltage switches, sensors, controllers
• Lead requirements development with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
• Manage component integration, verification, and release activities into end vehicles
• Ensure quality delivery to meet company, customer, and industry expectations
• Comfortable working within a fast-paced agile engineering team environment
• Perform additional duties as assigned and business priorities evolve

Experience

Preferred

• Knowledgeable in automotive low voltage electrical wire harness design, fusing, construction, and component selection
• Experience working with vehicle communication networks (CAN, LIN, SENT, ethernet) and tools to monitor and log them, as well as diagnostic protocols. (VehicleSpy, CANalyzer, PCAN)
• Awareness of automotive quality processes, PPAP, APQP, FMEA, 8D
• Catia, Solidworks or NX CAE modeling experience preferred
• Prior work using Mathworks Simulink, StateFlow or equivalent tools desired
• Working knowledge of Battery Electric Vehicles and battery pack architectures preferred
