Senior Environmental Project Scientist

Job Summary:

Trileaf is seeking a FULL-TIME Senior Environmental Project Scientist with at least 2 years of field experience conducting environmental due diligence work on commercial real estate projects, to include Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (Phase I ESAs). This position is located in the Austin area. Candidates will work on-site.

• Travel to project location, take detailed notes and photographs of site as needed
• Conducting interviews, in person, via email, and phone
• Performing regulatory agency file reviews
• Reviewing historical data (including topographic maps, Sanborn fire insurance maps, city directories, and aerial photographs)
• Prepare and Review of Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessment Reports
• Perform QA/QC of field notes
• Conducting field work to collect samples of potentially contaminated subsurface media (soil, groundwater, and soil vapor) and/or indoor air
• Compare analytical contaminant data collected to applicable regulatory standards

Basic Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications / Experience:

• Licensed Asbestos Inspector (optional not required)
• Lead Based Paint Inspector (optional not required)
• NEPA Assessments
• 40 hrs./active HAZWOPER Certification
• Transaction Screen Assessments (ASTM E1528)
• Environmental Professional (EP)

Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biology, Environmental Science, Geology, Geography or related fields
