Job Summary:
The ESPs Field Service Specialist / Facility Lead plays a hands-on role in supporting and executing daily field and shop operations. This position is responsible for assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and servicing Artificial Lift ESPs equipment including motors, pumps, seals, and related systems, while ensuring safe and efficient operations. The role also involves operating and maintaining test benches, assisting with installations, and supporting both field crews and workshop personnel in achieving quality and reliability objectives. This position requires a highly skilled technician capable of leading by example, working directly on equipment, and guiding others through technical procedures and safe work practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILTY & AUTHORITY:
- Performing assembly, disassembly, and testing of Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESPs) in the shop.
- Operating and maintain test fixtures to validate equipment performance before field deployment.
- Conduct ESP equipment preparation for field deployment.
- Performing installation/pulling ESPs and associated equipment in onshore and offshore wells.
- Working unsupervised, monitoring, trouble shooting and testing downhole ESP equipment to maximize well productivity and ESP run life.
- Serve as a technical expert, offering guidance and support to team members, enhancing their technical capabilities.
- Leading the field service team with confidence ensuring positive customer outcomes.
- Provide technical feedback to engineering and reliability teams to support design and performance improvements Conducting business activities in accordance with NOV HSE policies, and Compliance requirements.
Handling special projects as assigned.
BEHAVIORAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES & REQUIRED:
- Have a minimum of 5-7 years of technical experience in running Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESPs) and Artificial Lift tools or equipment.
- Have a technical diploma, associate’s degree, or equivalent hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance fields.
- Have strong background in troubleshooting and field servicing of ESPs.
- Have valid offshore experience.
- Have proven experience operating test benches, torque systems and DIFA Bench.
- Have strong customer focus, communication, interpersonal, and team working skills.
- Have strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Have a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and standards relevant to the oil and gas sector, maintaining a safe environment at all client sites.
- Effectively manage and maintain company-provided tools, equipment and vehicles, ensuring regular checks and maintenance are done timely and properly.
