Senior Estimator

Summary:

The Senior Estimator is responsible for leading the estimating function, delivering accurate and competitive project estimates, and supporting strategic decision-making across sales and operations for complex fabrication projects. Our client is expanding capabilities and facilities to support high-demand industries such as data centers and industrial manufacturing. This is a full-time Senior Estimator position based in Pearland, TX.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for:
• Isometric piping systems
• Structural steel skids
• Modular process units
• ASME Section VIII pressure vessels (Div. 1 & Div. 2)
• Review RFQs, drawings, specifications, and client requirements
• Perform detailed material take-offs and labor hour estimates
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes
• Develop cost models, bid summaries, and pricing strategies
• Identify risks, scope gaps, and cost-saving opportunities
• Coordinate with engineering, production, and procurement teams
• Participate in client clarifications and bid review meetings
• Support project handoff to operations upon award

Qualifications

• 7+ years of estimating experience in fabrication or industrial manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of:
• Isometric drawings and piping systems
• Structural steel fabrication
• Modular/skid-mounted systems
• ASME Code requirements for pressure vessels
• Experience estimating high-pressure vessels (separators, scrubbers, reactors, etc.)
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specs
• Familiarity with ASME Section VIII (Div. 1 & 2 preferred)
• Strong Excel and estimating software skills
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in welding/fabrication or mechanical engineering
• Experience with EPC, ASME, Modular packages, Structural components, or data center-related projects
• Knowledge of coatings, NDE, and QA/QC requirements
• Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously under tight deadlines

Pay: $1.00 - $2.00 per year
