What You'll Do

As our Estimator , you'll be the cornerstone of every project's financial foundation. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing comprehensive estimates and quantity takeoffs for custom homes using Buildertrend Takeoff or similar tools
• Collaborating with designers, architects, and engineers to ensure all custom design details are captured accurately in project budgets.
• Partnering closely with project management and construction teams to deliver precise, timely, and realistic budgets.
• Sourcing and analyzing bids from subcontractors and vendors, ensuring alignment with project scope and cost accuracy.
• Assisting in developing and maintaining internal price books and historical cost data to optimize future projects.
• Monitoring budget variances throughout each project, identifying opportunities to reduce cost slippage.
• Supporting the creation of client-facing budget reports and detailed scopes of work.
• Offering value-engineering solutions without compromising design integrity.
  
  

What We're Looking For

We're seeking an Estimator who brings:

• Proven experience in custom home estimating, familiarity with infill or scatter lot building is a strong plus.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and sequencing, especially for high-end residential projects.
• Unmatched attention to detail, you notice what others miss and spot cost-saving opportunities.
• Proficiency with takeoff tools like Buildertrend Takeoff (preferred) or similar platforms.
• Strong skills in Excel/Google Sheets and a comfort level with cloud-based platforms.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings with ease.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
• A proactive, team-oriented mindset that thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 or more years of experience in residential construction estimating or project management.
• Familiarity with construction management software like Buildertrend, CoConstruct, or similar platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
