Senior Estimator – Power (ID#6308)

We are seeking a Senior Estimator to join our growing Power division in Bangor, ME. This role is a key part of our project delivery team—responsible for preparing and managing cost estimates for electric transmission and distribution projects, supporting engineering, construction, and project management teams to ensure accuracy, consistency, and value across all project phases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed cost estimates from project initiation through closeout.
• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to analyze scope and define estimate structure.
• Negotiate design modifications and change orders with contractors.
• Coordinate with project managers and schedulers to refine integrated project schedules.
• Support contingency planning and cost risk management processes.
• Document and maintain Basis of Estimates and estimate revisions.
• Manage cost data and historical records for future benchmarking.
• Ensure estimating standards and formats are consistently applied.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in estimating power transmission (38kV and above) and distribution (15kV / 34.5kV) projects.
• Proficiency with estimating tools (Accubid preferred).
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with cost engineering standards and AACE practices (e.g., 46R-11).
• Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) License or Certified Estimating Professional (CEP).

Pay: $96,439.73 - $116,142.48 per year
