Role Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced electrical engineering professional to lead the electrical systems design, maintenance, and automation initiatives at our AAC Blocks Manufacturing Plant in Navsari. This role involves overseeing plant-wide electrical operations, ensuring statutory compliance, optimizing energy usage, and supporting modernization projects. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership qualities, a hands-on approach to operations, and a deep focus on electrical safety and reliability in a continuous process manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Maintenance of Electrical Systems
- Design, operate, and sustain plant electrical systems including HT/LT panels, PLCs, instrumentation, and power distribution.
- Ensure uninterrupted power supply to autoclaves, boiler systems, mixers, conveyors, and cutting machines.
- Support implementation of process automation and control systems specific to AAC block manufacturing.
Troubleshooting & Repairs
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults promptly to reduce downtime of critical AAC plant equipment.
- Implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all electrical assets.
Safety Compliance
- Ensure all electrical systems comply with statutory regulations, ISO, and industry safety standards.
- Conduct regular audits and enforce lock-out/tag-out and electrical safety protocols.
Testing & Commissioning
- Supervise testing and commissioning of new electrical machinery and systems.
- Validate safe and efficient operation before integration with plant processes.
Energy Management
- Monitor energy consumption across autoclaves, boilers, and auxiliary systems.
- Support energy efficiency initiatives and manage solar power generation systems.
Upgradation & Modernization
- Plan and execute modernization/upgradation projects (e.g., automation of material handling and autoclave operations).
- Ensure smooth integration of new technologies with existing systems.
Training & Supervision
- Guide and mentor junior engineers and technicians in electrical operations.
- Manage daily activities and monitor performance KPIs of the electrical team.
Emergency Response
- Act as a key member of the plant’s emergency response team for electrical incidents.
- Ensure rapid risk mitigation and recovery during plant electrical breakdowns.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain updated records of electrical drawings, maintenance activities, incident logs, and equipment histories.
- Prepare reports on breakdown analysis, energy efficiency, and improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- B.E. / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Certifications in PLC, automation systems, or energy management are an advantage.
Experience & Industry Background
- Minimum 4–6 years of experience in electrical maintenance within manufacturing or process industries (preferably construction materials like cement, AAC blocks, tiles, precast, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with PLCs, solar energy systems, and instrumentation is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety, automation, and energy management systems.
- Team leadership and performance management abilities.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in maintenance software tools and technical documentation.
- Safety-oriented mindset with emergency handling skills.
