Description

Senior Finance Executive – Lease Administration (Retail Operations Finance)

The Financial Analyst plays a key role on the Lease Administration Finance team by ensuring Landlord charges are billed accurately and paid in a timely manner. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical thinking capabilities and excellent communication skills. The candidate is also enthusiastic, self-motivated and demonstrates the ability to drive results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gain an overall understanding of the Real Estate payment process

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with landlords

  • Address landlord inquiries in a timely manner

  • Interpret lease language and audit landlord invoices to ensure lease compliance

  • Process invoices for payment and perform invoice audits, ensuring the proper level of approvals are obtained.

  • Adjust monthly escrow payments as appropriate

  • Reconcile landlord statements with our records and resolve differences

  • Review weekly and monthly payment runs for completeness/accuracy and ensure compliance with delegations of authority

  • Collect required documentation to process vendor changes in partnership with the Vendor's team

  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis

  • Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial records and resolve discrepancies promptly

Qualifications

Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills

  • Great interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Operational expertise in several Real Estate Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, including SAP

  • Tenacious attention to detail and the ability to see "the big picture"

  • Intermediate skills in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications

  • Enthusiastic, high energy, and self-motivated

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Finance or Accounting

  • 5–8 years’ experience in a finance/accounting (Real Estate) environment
