Senior Family Law Attorney

The Opportunity

Johnson Law Group, LLC is a growing, multi-state family law firm headquartered in Colorado with offices in Colorado, Wyoming, Illinois, and Florida. We are opening a new office in Amarillo, Texas and seeking an experienced family law attorney to lead the launch and build our Texas practice.

This is not a typical associate position. You will serve as the lead attorney for our Amarillo office with full practice authority over the firm’s Texas operations. You will have the autonomy to manage your own caseload and client relationships, backed by the infrastructure of an established firm—including full back-office support, modern case management technology, marketing investment, and operational resources.

What We Offer

• Competitive base salary with origination and performance bonuses (total compensation $120K–$180K+)

What We’re Looking For

Required

• Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas
• Minimum 5 years of substantive family law experience (divorce, custody, property division, modifications)
• Trial and hearing experience in Texas family courts
• Existing client relationships and portable book of business (20+ cases)
• Strong reputation in the Potter County / Randall County legal community
• Comfortable operating with autonomy while collaborating remotely with firm leadership

Strongly Preferred

○ Experience with high-asset or complex property division matters

○ Established referral relationships with local attorneys, mediators, and financial professionals

○ Portable book of business generating $250K+ annually (higher compensation available for larger books)

○ Experience managing or mentoring junior attorneys or paralegals

○ Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills
