Senior Family Law Attorney

The Opportunity

Johnson Law Group, LLC is a growing, multi-state family law firm headquartered in Colorado with offices in Colorado and Wyoming. We are opening a new office in Lincoln, Nebraska and seeking an experienced family law attorney to lead the launch and build our Nebraska practice.

This is a leadership-level role. You will serve as the lead attorney for our Lincoln office with full practice authority over the firm’s Nebraska operations. You will have the autonomy to manage your own caseload and client relationships, backed by the infrastructure of an established firm—including full back-office support, modern case management technology, marketing investment, and operational resources.

What We Offer

• Competitive base salary with origination and performance bonuses (total compensation $115K–$165K+)
• Full practice authority — you lead the firm’s Nebraska practice with decision-making responsibility

What We’re Looking For

Required

• Licensed and in good standing with the Nebraska State Bar
• Minimum 5 years of substantive family law experience (divorce, custody, property division, modifications)
• Trial and hearing experience in Nebraska family courts, particularly Lancaster County
• Existing client relationships and portable book of business (20+ cases)
• Comfortable operating with autonomy while collaborating remotely with firm leadership

Strongly Preferred

○ Experience with high-asset or complex property division matters

○ Established referral relationships with local attorneys, mediators, and financial professionals

○ Portable book of business generating $400K+ annually

○ Experience managing or mentoring junior attorneys or paralegals

○ Familiarity with Clio or similar cloud-based practice management software
