Senior Finance Manager - Only NGO background

Key Responsibilities: based in ***MUMBAI***

* Financial Strategy & Planning

Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.

Lead the annual budgeting process with department heads.

Monitor financial performance and present reports to leadership and the board.

* Financial Management & Compliance

Oversee accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and audits.

Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and accounting standards.

Maintain strong relationships with auditors and financial institutions.

* Risk Management & Internal Controls

Identify and mitigate financial risks.

Implement robust internal controls and financial safeguards.

Grant Management & Donor Reporting

Manage financial aspects of grants and donor contracts.

Coordinate with program teams for accurate and timely donor reporting.

*Financial Sustainability & Growth

Develop strategies for long-term financial sustainability and revenue diversification.

Team Leadership

Lead and mentor the finance team.

Build a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA/CPA/CA preferred).

Minimum 10 years of proven experience as finance leader in the nonprofit sector.

Expertise in nonprofit financial management, including fund accounting and grant compliance.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

High integrity and commitment to transparency and accountability.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year
