Senior Finance Support Specialist

Requirements:

This position will be responsible for assisting the Finance and Accounting Department with many of its administrative and clerical duties.

• Prepare monthly billings for a variety of contract types, to include FFP, T&M and CPFF
• Support the Invoice Dispute Resolution (IDR) program, including customer setup, documentation, and daily payment application.
• Manage and monitor accounts receivable aging reports to ensure timely collection of payments.
• Provide collections support, communicating with customers regarding outstanding invoices by following up on outstanding payments and resolving any billing discrepancies.
• Prepare and analyze monthly unbilled reports.
• Pull and distribute reports required for internal and external audits.
• Perform miscellaneous reconciliations and data validation within Costpoint as assigned.
• Provide administrative and clerical support to the finance and accounting department.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus 2-4 years of accounting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of general accounting practices.
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint preferred.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Experience applying customer payments.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft applications, with advanced knowledge in Excel.
• Strong proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, formulas).
• Experience in billing, preferably in Government contracting.
