Position Information:

  • Salary Range: $120k - $130k (DOE)
  • Work Schedule: Monday – Friday (8:00am – 5:00pm)
  • Exempt

Job Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst will be primarily responsible for financial/operational analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, across each GK property and GK corporate entities. The incumbent will manage processes in place and assist in developing new processes to produce accurate budgets, forecasts, and insightful analysis, and supporting long-term strategic planning.

Essential Functions

  • Analyze financial and operational KPIs against budgets, forecasts, and industry benchmarks,
  • Manage special projects, including preparation, documentation, and project management for executive financial management,
  • Responsible for preparing, reviewing, and presenting ad hoc/scenario analyses,
  • Manage the companywide budget process, including preparing and documenting support for budgeted amounts, including variance analysis of one-time expenses, assumptions, or proposed methodology changes,
  • Develop new processes and improve/automate existing processes, including communication and rollout to other departments,
  • Manage and update company-wide short and long term forecasting efforts including cash flow projections and capital planning analyses,
  • Assist with training of company staff in the use of the Excel based templates and associated input worksheets, and
  • Report to the FP&A Manager and interact with other senior management.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proficiency with Excel and working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as Power BI is a plus.
  • Well-developed understanding of accounting systems to produce financial reporting and ability to work in a changing environment.
  • Property management accounting and/or RealPage/Intacct accounting system experience not required, but is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate/present complex financial and non-financial analysis.
  • Strong sense of accountability with a willingness to commit to and complete what is required.

Minimum Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, analytics or related degree required.
  • Advanced degree and/or CPA preferred.
  • Must have 5-7 years of experience in accounting or finance.
  • Strong technical skills, including advanced Excel modeling and data visualization.

Working Conditions

This position operates in an office setting and in a professional office environment. This is a full-time position and may require business travel.
