Senior Financial Analyst

Position Purpose

The Senior Financial Analyst is an essential team member of a small, high-impact Finance team. The Analyst thrives on modeling, analytics, and problem-solving, and wants exposure across financial planning and analysis (FP&A), corporate development, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), financing/lending, and capital markets.

This position helps to deliver high-quality financial models, forecasts, and reporting that drives decision-making across the organization, supporting strategic transactions, financial programs, and board-level reporting.

The Impact You'll Make

Financial Modeling and Analysis

  • Build and maintain complex, dynamic financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning
  • Develop valuation and transaction models to support acquisitions, integrations, and new initiatives
  • Conduct sensitivity analyses, what-if scenarios, and return metrics such as internal rate of return (IRR), return on investment (ROI), and payback

Corporate Development and Strategic Projects

  • Support financial due diligence and modeling for mergers and acquisitions and strategic investments
  • Assist with integration tracking and performance monitoring post-close
  • Research markets, competitors, and benchmarks to inform investment decisions

Budgeting and Forecasting Support

  • Partner with the Director of Finance on budgeting and reforecasting processes
  • Analyze trends, identify variances, and provide actionable insights to business leaders
  • Prepare monthly reporting packages and management dashboards

Loan Underwriting and Corporate Development

  • Partner with the VP of Finance on developing capital deployment programs to facilitate growth in our franchisees’ businesses
  • Support financial due diligence and modeling for lending programs and strategic investments
  • Lead underwriting efforts, establish defined process, and track ongoing performance

Board and Executive Reporting

  • Support development of board and investor materials in partnership with Finance leadership
  • Research and report on competitors’ KPI’s, strategies, and performance

Ad-Hoc Analysis, Special Projects, and Decision Support

  • Perform special analyses on pricing, margin improvement, and capital allocation
  • Partner cross-functionally with accounting, operations, and business units to provide financial insights

The Experience You'll Need

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. Four (4) years of relevant education and work experience may be substituted for degree
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in finance, accounting, financial planning and analysis, investment banking, or corporate development
  • Strong financial modeling skills
  • Solid understanding of financial statements, valuation concepts, and corporate finance principles
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, listening, and presentation communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Polished and professional demeanor

Preferred Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in finance, accounting, financial planning and analysis, investment banking, or corporate development
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
  • Experience in public accounting and/or a private equity-backed, high-growth, or entrepreneurial environment

Knowledge

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
